THE ENTHRONEMENT

   On December 8th 2000, The Bishop of
   the province of Formosa, Monsignor
   Jose Vicente Conejeros Gallegos also the
   Parish priest from the church of Maria
   Auxiliadora of Don Bosco’s area and with
   The help of parishioners who represented
   All the churches and parishes of that province
   witness the enthronement of the image of
   The Virgin Mary and the blessing of the
   Building. Thousands of Argentina’s residents
   devotees of Our Lady, gave a warm welcome
   to the devotion to the Virgin Mary Untier of
   Knots, showing a great manifestation of their
   Marian faith with hope and joy.

   RESIDENTS MADE THEIR PROCESSION
   BEFORE THE IMAGE OF THE VIRGIN MARY
   TO PETITION, GIVE THANKS AND TO PAY
   TRIBUTE TO OUR BELOVED VIRGIN
   MARY AS THE UNTIER OF KNOTS. THE KNOTS
   IN MARRIAGE OF THE PEOPLE AND OF THE
   NATIONS. THE KNOTS IN THE WORK PLACE,
   IN HEALTH AND IN THE FAMILY."

Lively and powerful was the support of the province of Formosa towards our
initiative .“ We would like the Shrine to become a place of Interest to our province”
This wish has come true, now the Shrine forms part of the pilgrim’s tour.

ACCOMPLISHED PROJECTS
”As we traveled to the province of Formosa by invitation of the Committee assigned to construct the Shrine, our objective was very clear. On these four journeys I worked intensively to clear up all the topics that referred to the true significance of Our Lady under the title of “Untier of Knots”. I took advantage of all the means of communication to speak on our topic. I did not leave this as a simple event. We spoke to the people, to the authorities and to church representatives. Radio Manantial the only catholic radio station of this province, was able to transmit to the public the interview made by local Marian organizations.

weather, lines of
pilgrims gathered
to greet The Virgin
Mary Untier of
Knots. Mass was
held in this same
chapel.

February 8th 2001 at 7:30pm. Mass
was offered for the prayers and petitions
To Our Lady The Virgin Mary Untier
of Knots. Father Fernando Brollo read
to us a very Eloquent speech . The
offering at the mass was a long knotted
ribbon that represented
The intentions of the people of Formosa.
A great number of people received Holy
Communion, for which the priest had to
break the host in four parts.

TV channels 3 and 11, Radio
Manantial, Formosa’s Newspaper,
La mañana and dozens of
other stations who came from
north of Argentina, broadcasted the
event.

The First Shrine in America and the second in the World to be dedicated
Exclusively to Our Lady The Virgin Mary Untier of Knots.

heartfelt ceremony Declaring the following:

“I would like to emphasize the presence of Cristina M. de Sotelo’s family who
together with her husband and daughter, made themselves present in the events that
were held. This family of the Province of Corrientes, agreed to accept our late
notice invitation as representatives of the Province, in spite of the distance and weather
conditions. A pre agreement was made to form a group of Pilgrims and activities in
that Province.”

Directions to the city of Formosa – Republic of Argentina

LOCATION OF THE SHRINE
The Shrine is situated on the intersection of the Napoleon Uriburu
and 9 de Julio Avenues, in the Capital City of Formosa.

DONDE ESTA FORMOSA
The province of Formosa ("The Beautiful"-"La Hermosa"), is situated on the
City limits. Next to it is the Republic of Paraguay north. Formosa belonged
To the National Territory of Chaco. Latitude is 24-26º Longitude 60-62º.
The city has a surface of 72.066 Km2. Our Lord God has blessed this
Land with a population of 450.000 souls. It is known as a "Place of Faith"
One of its principal activities is the cultivation of cotton.

A "COINCIDENTAL" THOUGHT
The (Capital) City of Formosa is located in the ancient route traveled by the Jesuit Fathers of the
Company of Jesus. They traveled between the city of Salta and Tucuman to the Missions of Guayra.
(XV-XVI century). We would like to point out the noticeable fact that this route has a stretch of 580km.
And is the longest "Way of Cross" in the World.
