First enthronement of the Image
of The Virgin Mary Untier of Knots
in the United States of America

Archbishop Patrick Flores, Rosie and Henry Aguilar

Dear Brothers and Sisters

We would like to share with you the steps we took and how we were able to receive permission
to enthrone the Image of The Virgin Mary Untier of Knots in our local parish of Saint Joseph’s
Catholic Church in Del RioTexas. The first step was to make an appointment with Father Ramiro
Cortez our parish priest, we explained to him how Mario H. Ibertis Rivera founder and director of
this devotion is donating an Image to St. Joseph’s Church for enthronement, we brought with us
a smaller size image of Our Lady also donated by Mario as a pilgrim Virgin Mary, Father Ramiro
loved the idea, we also had another request to present to Father Ramiro and this was for him to
look over some of the wording used in the translation of two of Mario’s writings, “the Novena
2002” and “The devotion of 28 days with the Virgin Mary” These works are already approved in
the Catholic Church by the Archdiocese of Argentina.  Father Ramiro said he would Enthroned
the Image but first he wished for us to speak to Archbishop Patrick Flores Bishop of San
Antonio Texas and only Archbishop of the State of Texas, Archbishop Flores is also the first
Hispanic Archbishop in the United States, even thou we had never met with the Archbishop we
humbly accepted Father Ramiro’s request and on that same day we called the Archdiocese of
San Antonio to make an appointment, we called on a Wednesday and the next day we received
a phone call from the Archdiocese informing us that we had an appointment with the Archbishop
on Friday at 2:00p.m. We left to San Antonio on Friday morning, we were a little nervous since
this is the first time we had ever done anything like this, we arrived at the Archdiocese about
1:00p.m this was a little early but we still sign in at the entrance, to our surprise the secretary
tells us that the Archbishop would like to see us, we went up to his office, he greeted us with a
smile and a handshake, he excused himself every time the phone rang since it was lent and he
was real busy, he asked what he could do for us, we told him we were here to talk to him about
the devotion to the Virgin Mary Untier of Knots and also to ask permission to enthrone an Image
in the parish of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Del Rio Texas, we also told him that the
Image would be donated by the founder and Director of the devotion. We briefly narrated the
story of the miracle that happened 300 years ago in Germany that we read from the book
“Mary Untier of Knots the True History” written by Mario H. Ibertis Rivera. The Bishop listened
attentively to the story and when we finished with the brief history of the Virgin Mary Untier of
Knots, he said to us “This reminds me of Saint Joseph…you know that he is also the Patron
Saint of couples that are thinking of getting a divorce? Because he himself thought of divorcing
Our Blessed Mother when he found out she was with child, it was when the Angel appear to
him That he changed his mind.” We were very interested in his comments because we had
never thought of Saint Joseph as the Patron Saint of couples with marriage problems, we also
presented to him a letter that Mario wrote to the Archbishop asking him for an Imprimatur on
the Novena and the 28 days, that although they are already approved by the Church it is a
gesture of courtesy to request for them in another country. The Archbishop read the letter and
was very interested in it, he told us that he would immediately get in contact with Mario to
speak to him directly, the Archbishop assured us that when something is approved by the
Church it is not necessary to approve it again because the Church is Universal and as far as the
Enthronement is concern he said “yes” because even though the Virgin Mary has different titles,
they still all fall under one main title which is the title Mother of God. The Archbishop than told
us he had a little gift for us, to our joy he gave us a beautiful rosary that he said was given to
him last year by Our Pope John Paul II and he would like to give it to us, we accepted his gift
with great love and joy, as we walked out of his office we asked the Bishop if we could take a
picture with him and the pilgrim Virgin Mary that Mario gave us, he gladly accepted, his
secretary took the picture, we are also grateful to the secretary because she suggested that
we take 2 pictures just in case one didn’t come out, and that is exactly what happened only
one came out the other came out dark, ever since this special day we carry the Rosary the
Bishop gave us everywhere we go and await anxiously the Enthronement of the Image of the
Virgin Mary Untier of Knots at our local parish of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Del Rio
 Texas, on May the 28th 2003. 6:30 p.m mass.

 Everyone is invited!
 God Bless you

 REPORT:

Before Mass started, the beautiful Image of Our Lady was placed on a tripod next to the Altar
adorned with a beautiful flower arrangement, next to the image was a small table where the
offerings to Our Lady were placed. The Parish of St. Joseph's church had never experienced this
unique blessing. The celebration began with a brief introduction by Mr. Manuel Limones
(candidate to the diaconate) he briefly explained how St. Joseph's church would be having the
Rite of Enthronement of the Image of the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title Untier of Knots,
and that we were very blessed to have such special Image in our Country. Mr. Limones
explained that the Image was donated by Mario Horacio Ibertis Rivera and his family who is the
founder and director of the International devotion to the Virgin Mary Untier of Knots, he also said
that Henry and I are the delegates to the United States for the spreading of the devotion, a
devotion that has been approved by Our Catholic Church. He continued to say that Archbishop
Patrick Flores could not be with us today, but that he gracefully sent a letter with his blessings
to us. This letter was read to everyone and may be read in our website www.desatadora.com.ar
Father Ramiro Cortez officiated the Mass and Rite of Enthronement in a very solemn and heartfelt
ceremony. After the Rite of Enthronement the Parish of St. Joseph's Catholic Church offered
the Virgin Mary Untier of Knots, four beautiful Rosaries made by the different groups and
 associations of our Parish.

of War, suicides, unjust laws like abortion, the death penalty, the calamities of infidelity, divorce,
homosexuality, drug addiction, alcoholism, prostitution, abuse, diseases, so that the Virgin
Mary may untie the knots that we have made through sin.

Third Rosary: Glorious Mysteries: A beautiful large golden Rosary of the Holy Spirit is offered
to Our Lady by the Renovacion Groups and the Cursillo movement.  This Rosary represents our
faith that the Lord will come again placing our hope in our Blessed Mother as our mediator before
 Jesus.

Fourth Rosary: Luminous Mysteries: A Large Rosary with an image of our Holy Father John
Paul II, and on the cross you will see a Chalice of the Eucharist. This Rosary was offered by the
Marian Cenacles, these cenacles with Our Lady represent the Domestic Church united with
Our Pope, with our Bishops and with our Priest, that in union with Our Heavenly Mother the
beloved spouse of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ, is asking for the second Pentecost
through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

After the offering of the 4 Rosaries, the Sacrifice of the Mass was celebrated. At the end of Mass
Father Ramiro Cortez thanked everyone for coming to Mass and for attending the Rite of the
Enthronement of the Virgin Mary Untier of Knots. We were led into procession by Father Ramiro
and the Altar servers, than the Rosary representatives followed, and at the end Henry and I carried
the Image of Our Lady into procession to the place of St. Joseph's little chapel were the Image is
now placed. Before the Image was place on the wall of the little chapel Henry and I stepped out
of the Church so that the people could honor Our Lady and see her up close. We wish to thanked

With the approval of our parish and the Archdioceses of San Antonio Texas, we as a Society are taking steps for the building of a National Shrine/Church in Del Rio Texas so that we can have pilgrimages & tours to bring the faith and the faithful from all over the world to honor Our Lady in the Border Town Twin Cities of Del Rio Texas and Ciudad Acuña Coahuila Mexico. Our plans for the future is to have simultaneous Masses and celebrations with the Main Shrine of San Jose del Talar Parish as brothers and sisters in Christ.
